Cadet Leadership
The Cadet Leadership course is designed to help students develop the leadership knowledge, skills, and character needed to lead with confidence, responsibility, and integrity. Through structured instruction, hands-on activities, team-based projects, community engagement, service learning, and guided self-reflection, students learn to collaborate effectively, set and achieve goals, solve problems, manage time and resources, and communicate with professionalism. The course emphasizes personal growth, accountability, ethical decision‑making, cultural awareness, and the development of practical leadership habits that prepare students for success in school, work, and community life.
While not aligned to any specific branch of the U.S. military, the course incorporates a broad understanding of U.S. military structure, customs, values, and mission sets to enrich students’ development as leaders. Students explore how leadership, teamwork, discipline, and service contribute to effective citizenship in both civilian and military contexts. Students participate in practical experiences that allow them to apply critical thinking, creative thinking, communication, collaboration, and citizenship in real‑world situations. Whether or not students choose to pursue future military studies, this course provides meaningful opportunities to practice leadership, engage in service learning, and build the character and capabilities required to be contributing, productive citizens.
