During the program, students are eligible to take the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) National Entry-Level Dental Assistant (NELDA) certification, which includes Radiation Health and Safety (RHS); Anatomy, Morphology, and Physiology (AMP); and Infection Control (ICE) exams. Upon successful completion, many students choose to continue their dental education at community colleges and universities. Contextual instruction and student participation in co-curricular career and technical student organization (CTSO) activities will develop leadership, interpersonal, and career skills. High-quality work-based learning (HQWBL) will provide experiential learning opportunities related to students' career goals and/or interests, integrated with instruction, and performed in partnership with local businesses and organizations.
