Course Description:

Students will develop hands-on skills in agricultural metal fabrication through training in cutting, welding, machining, and metalworking techniques commonly used in modern agricultural operations. Emphasis will be placed on safety, precision, and the practical application of fabrication skills to real-world agricultural needs. In addition, students will explore emerging technologies that are shaping the future of agricultural fabrication, gaining experience with innovative tools, equipment, and fabrication methods used in today’s industry. This course prepares students to design, build, and repair metal structures and equipment essential to agricultural production. Contextual instruction and student participation in co-curricular career and technical student organization (CTSO) activities will develop leadership, interpersonal, and career skills. High-quality work-based learning (HQWBL) will provide experiential learning opportunities related to students' career goals and/or interests, integrated with instruction, and performed in partnership with local businesses and organizations.
