Performance should include a visual inspection of the following GMAW and GMAW-S equipment and accessories daily, in accordance with instructor or employer policy:

• Regulator
• Hoses
• Welding leads (e.g., gun, torch, ground cable)

Process/Skill Questions:

• What happens when a gas hose has a hole in it?
• What happens when a contact tip is worn out?
• What happens when a MIG lead is not properly installed?
