Diagnosis should include
- identifying the linkage for wear and the cables for fraying
- locating missing or broken springs
- determining whether the vehicle will start without the clutch pedal depressed
- checking clutch release for stick or bind
- performing any needed action and repair or replace as needed.

- Where are the lube points on the clutch system?
- What is the purpose of the clutch inspection cover?
