Outline should include
- reviewing prerequisites for emergency medical services (EMS) training programs, criminal history, and standards of conduct on the first and last day of the course
- completing First Class and Last Class paperwork from the Virginia Department of Health’s Office of Emergency Medical Services (OEMS) (refer to the Training Program Administration Manual [TPAM])
- completing class requirements and attendance at the secondary level
- completing individual program competency
- completing the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) EMR cognitive examination to receive the NREMT EMR and Virginia certifications.
