• handling, folding, and displaying the colors according to established protocol and with strict respect

• following protocols related to national music (e.g., stopping all activity, facing the flag or toward the music if the flag is not visible) to demonstrate awareness and respect for national symbols
• demonstrating discipline and respect (e.g., maintaining military bearing) in all flag‑related activities
• understanding context (e.g., knowing when salutes are required, when they are not, and how to adjust behavior in indoor, outdoor, formal, or informal settings).
