Performance should include a visual inspection of the following GTAW equipment and accessories on a daily basis, in accordance with instructor or employer policy:

• Regulator
• Hoses
• Welding leads (e.g., gun, torch, work cable)

Process/Skill Questions:

• How tight should the backing cap be on a GTAW torch?
• What happens when the collet is installed in the collet body backwards?
• What must be inspected on a water-cooled torch before welding?
