Application should include
- following manufacturer specifications
- applying color to 1/2 inch from the scalp, but not including the last inch
- applying on the scalp and ending with fresh color
- performing a strand test for the desired results
- rinsing color from the hair with cool water
- shampooing the hair with acid-balanced shampoo
- reconditioning the hair
- removing stains from the skin
- towel drying the hair
- reexamining the scalp and hair
- cleaning and sanitizing implements and the work area.
