Demonstration should include

• washing and cleaning hands
• soaking nails in an approved solvent (e.g., acetone) specified by the manufacturer
• using an orangewood stick to gently push off softened acrylic nail
• repeating until all acrylic has been removed
• refraining from using nippers to remove acrylic as this will damage the nail plate. 

Process/Skill Questions:

• How long should one soak nails in acetone?
• Why is the orangewood stick used to push off acrylic?
• What type of follow-up care/instructions should the client be given?
