Preparation should include
- wearing required PPE for the selected task/application
- explaining hazards associated with steam cleaning equipment and high-pressure washers
- explaining safety precautions, procedures, guidelines, and manufacturer specifications related to electricity (proper grounding), chemicals, hot water, exposure to hot parts, gas powered washers, and the dangers of high-pressure water injection injuries
- preparation and use of a steam and/or high-pressure washer in accordance with manufacturer specifications
- covering critical parts
- disposing of runoff, chemicals, and grease following local, state, and federal guidelines.
