Course Description:
Family and Consumer Sciences Exploratory II helps students develop essential knowledge and skills to lead better lives, be career-ready, build strong families, and make meaningful contributions to their communities. Students explore human development, relationships, personal environments, nutrition and wellness, textile skills, personal financial skills, career opportunities, and leadership skills. Contextual instruction and student participation in co-curricular career and technical student organization (CTSO) activities will develop leadership, interpersonal, and career skills. High-quality work-based learning (HQWBL) will provide experiential learning opportunities related to students' career goals and/or interests, integrated with instruction, and performed in partnership with local businesses and organizations.
