Course Description:
This course builds on Agricultural Business Fundamentals I and helps students develop real‑world skills for success in the agricultural industry, including agribusiness management, marketing, financial decision‑making, and leadership. Students explore agricultural products and services, practice communication and teamwork, learn how businesses operate, and discover careers in both traditional and emerging agricultural industries. Through project-based learning, technology integration, and supervised agricultural experiences, students gain confidence in areas such as budgeting, customer relations, workplace safety, problem‑solving, and professional readiness, preparing them for future employment, entrepreneurship, and advanced agricultural studies. Contextual instruction and student participation in co-curricular career and technical student organization (CTSO) activities will develop leadership, interpersonal, and career skills. High-quality work-based learning (HQWBL) will provide experiential learning opportunities related to students' career goals and/or interests, integrated with instruction, and performed in partnership with local businesses and organizations.
Note: Competencies within this course ensure compliance with the National FFA Organization's Federal Charter Amendments Act (Public Law 116-7). Through this legislation, students are provided opportunities for leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education.
