- describing the relationship between animal and human health and ectoparasite control (e.g., tapeworms, flea allergic dermatitis) and potential zoonotic disease transmission
- using a flea comb
- describing the importance of pet owner education regarding ectoparasite control including environmental cleaning and year‑round prevention.
