Content areas include agribusiness operations, animal science and care, ecology and natural resource management, plant science and landscaping, and woodworking and basic mechanics. Contextual instruction and student participation in co-curricular career and technical student organization (CTSO) activities will develop leadership, interpersonal, and career skills. High-quality work-based learning (HQWBL) will provide experiential learning opportunities related to students' career goals and/or interests, integrated with instruction, and performed in partnership with local businesses and organizations.

Note: For teachers creating individualized education programs (IEPs) for their students, it is recommended that instruction focus on one or more areas in the 8053 list to create comprehensive and challenging IEPs reflective of each student's ability.
