In this capstone course, students research successful business and management practices. Students explore the role of new and evolving technologies related to managing and operating an agricultural enterprise. Emphasis is placed on best management practices used in production agriculture, safety in an agricultural enterprise, and understanding agricultural markets. Contextual instruction and student participation in co-curricular career and technical student organization (CTSO) activities will develop leadership, interpersonal, and career skills. High-quality work-based learning (HQWBL) will provide experiential learning opportunities related to students' career goals and/or interests, integrated with instruction, and performed in partnership with local businesses and organizations.

Recommended prerequisites: Agricultural Business Operations II (8024) and/or Agricultural Business Management III (8026)

Notes

Competencies within this course ensure compliance with the National FFA Organization's Federal Charter Amendments Act (Public Law 116-7). Through this legislation, students are provided opportunities for leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education.
