Tech Prep Task Analyses Available: Five Career Clusters Featured

Local project sites have developed curriculum to support ten new Tech Prep programs, and these task analyses guides will be ready for mailings and summer conferences beginning in July. The guides, edited by VVCRC editors Bruce Stevens and Karen Westermann, are published in volumes representing the Tech Prep career clusters.

The new Tech Prep career cluster documents include the following task analyses, listed along with the developer. To order, please refer to the catalog number when calling (804/261-05075), faxing (804/251-5079), or e-mailing (info@cteresource.org) the VVCRC.

A document supporting the secondary Academic Tech program Academic Integrated Math (AIM) I and II(Cat. #8.97.14) will also be available this summer. AIM is a combination of Algebra I and Geometry, and students in the Academic Tech consortium who complete both years successfully are able to fulfill the requirements for the two mathematics courses. This academic program publication developed for Tech Prep addresses the Virginia Standards of Learning and has been approved by the Virginia Department of Education.
