The V-TECS Direct database software and the occupational data disks used with it are distributed to school divisions in Virginia through a network of site contacts. There is one contact person for each trained school division in Virginia. If you do not know the name of your designated site contact, see the list of local site contacts. Ordering V-TECS Direct Software

The CTE Resource Center handles the distribution of the V-TECS Direct software within the state of Virginia. Out-of-state persons interested in V-TECS software and occupational data should contact the V-TECS Consortium directly.

For Virginia patrons, the Virginia Department of Education has purchased enough copies of the new V-TECS 4.0 for Windows to replace all existing copies of the DOS software in the field. The new Windows software is available either as a 3-disk set (with occupational data available as a separate order) or on a CD-ROM which includes 58 occupations as well as the software.

The CTE Resource Center has a limited number of copies of V-TECS for Windows available for sale in addition to those set aside for replacement of the DOS software.

In addition, the CTE Resource Center has available for sale a limited number of copies of V-TECS 3.1 for DOS.
