In this course, students will focus on the evolving threats and security practices in the food and agricultural industries. Students will project future trends, research national and international policies and laws created to protect the nation's food supply, and explore careers related to cybersecurity in the various sectors of the food and agriculture industry. Contextual instruction and student participation in co-curricular career and technical student organization (CTSO) activities will develop leadership, interpersonal, and career skills. High-quality work-based learning (HQWBL) will provide experiential learning opportunities related to students' career goals and/or interests, integrated with instruction, and performed in partnership with local businesses and organizations.

Notes

Competencies within this course ensure compliance with the National FFA Organization's Federal Charter Amendments Act (Public Law 116-7). Through this legislation, students are provided opportunities for leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education.
