Accounting, Advanced 6321

Suggested Grade Levels: 11 or 12 (36 weeks)

Prerequisite:  Accounting (6320/36 weeks)

Students gain knowledge of advanced accounting principles, procedures, and techniques used to solve business problems and to make financial decisions. Students use accounting and spreadsheet software to analyze, synthesize, evaluate, and interpret business financial data. Students work in a technology-integrated environment using authentic workplace industry scenarios that reflect current industry trends and standards. The cooperative education method is available for this course. Students combine classroom instruction and supervised on-the-job training in an approved position with continuing supervision throughout the school year.
