Center to Take Part in Summer Conferences
Our summer calendar is filling up quickly with engagements at all the teacher association conferences, as well as local division inservices. In addition to describing the Center's services, most of our presentations this year will focus on the newly revised Workplace Readiness Skills for the Commonwealth.
After presentations at the New Administrators Workshop and the Cooperative Education Workshop, staff members will spend three days in Winchester beginning July 12, developing curriculum, exhibiting, and presenting at the Virginia Association of Agriculture Educators (VAAE) Conference. On July 21–22, we'll be in Virginia Beach with the Virginia Health Occupations Educators Association (VHOEA). We'll finish July with the Virginia Association of Teachers or Family and Consumer Science (VATFACS), also in Virginia Beach.
The first week of August will see Center staff at the Virginia Association of Marketing Educators (VAME) conference in Richmond; the Virginia Association of Trade and Industrial Education (VATIE) conference in Norfolk; the Virginia Business Education Association (VBEA) conference in Roanoke; and the Virginia Technology Education Association (VTEA) conference, also in Roanoke.
During the remainder of August, we will fan out to local school divisions across the state. If you would like us to visit your division to talk about how we help Virginia educators, give Peggy Watson a call at (804) 673-3778, or e-mail her.
