IT Administrator Glenda Lewis Retiring

Glenda LewisAfter 23 years of service to Career and Technical Education in Virginia, Glenda Lewis is retiring from the CTE Resource Center at the end of June.

Glenda joined the Center in 1997 as a Clerk in the mailroom/warehouse. She managed the distribution process back when all the Center’s publications and products were tangible. Later, as a Secretary, she assisted callers and supported the writers with graphic design and layout. Before long, Glenda became a Technology Support Technician, and, after earning a degree in Information Systems, she was promoted to Technology Support Specialist. As IT Administrator for the past three years, Glenda has been indispensable in managing the Center’s network and applications, Verso, and the Administrative Planning Guide. She has supported the CanDo competency-tracking system for many school divisions around the state, and she has coordinated information-gathering for each of the more-than 400 industry credentials available to Virginia’s CTE students.

Join us in bidding Glenda farewell as she looks forward to a full schedule of volunteering for her church, a part-time job at a local winery, gardening, and (someday soon) travel. Thank you, Glenda!
